- Ganja
- Bud
- Flower

- Pot
- Mary Jane
- Reefer
- Indica – This refers to a weed strain known for its more relaxing, sedative, and appetite-stimulating effects.
- Sativa – This refers to a weed strain known for its energizing effects.
- Hybrid – strains formed by mixing two strains, typically falling between indica and sativa.
Terms that refer to weed measurement:
- Eighth – 1/8 of an ounce or 3.5 grams
- Zip – This refers to an ounce or 28.5 grams
- Dime bag – This is typically used in prohibition states and refers to a $10 bag of weed, which typically equates to 1 gram.
- QP – This is typically a bulk purchase and equates to a quarter pound, 113 grams, or 4 ounces.
- G – This is short for gram. A gram is usually the smallest amount offered at dispensaries and is good for about 2-3 joints.
Other stoner terms:
- Green out – Feeling distressed, anxious, and nauseous after taking in too much THC.
- Baked – This is usually used to describe a positive high experience, where the user will feel relaxed, giggly, and warm.
- Pack a bowl – This is the action of taking ground-up weed and loading it into a pipe, bong, or bubbler for smoking.
- Toke up – This is the act of smoking cannabis and typically refers to smoking it in the form of a joint.
- Hotbox – Smoking weed in a small, enclosed space, causing it to fill with smoke. Some believe that this enhances your high.
